Many years ago, Douban was a utopia and there was once an Alpha City.
Many years later, Alan Chan said that the Internet now lacks ambition: when he goes to New York, he can appreciate the richness of New York, and when he goes to Boston, he can appreciate the cleverness of Boston. But when he goes online, he can't experience anything, so he wants to build a better Internet that makes it easier for people to do meaningful things.
